It has been a long time since I smiled and my family and my near and dear ones were extremely worried at my condition. Thanks to the global economic crisis, I lost my full time job of 15 years. There were moments, full of agony, when I wanted to put an end to it all by committing suicide, but I desperately held out with the hope that one day or the other, I would see light at the end of the tunnel. I do not recall the exact sequence of events, but it was a close friend of mine who finally helped pull me out of the financial crevice.
He suggested that I should try to work at home. Initially I did not believe his words. It is not that I do not have any ideas about the work at home schemes. Whenever I had some free time in my ex-office, I used to spend the same browsing the net, searching for interesting sites. Do not get me wrong over here. By interesting sites I do not mean those where one can find erotic images.
I always wanted to enjoy all the pleasures that live could provide and it was keeping that in mind that I used to surf the net… to find sites that would provide me with an alternative means of income… which I could use to enhance my then stipend. Little did I know that in the near future I too would have to visit these same sites that provide people with an opportunity to work at home and earn money! As I mentioned earlier, I had visited many such sites during the past and frankly speaking, I was not interested in their offers.
They were offering a small sum of money to send an email to someone. How could I enhance my income with the small sum of money they were offering? It had never occurred to me at that time that the same meager amount could be multiplied if I sent out many such emails per day. You see, I was so busy with my office work, and so happy with the stipend I used to receive, that these sites receded far back in my memory. But now I am revisiting those sites that provide me with work at home opportunities. You might not believe me, but I am nowadays earning more than what I used to earn from my 9 to 5 job.
I still remember that pesky boss of mine. She had a habit of sneaking up behind my back to observe whether I was spending office time in doing office work or just chatting with my friends on the internet. Now that I work at home, there is no pesky boss to chide me at every other opportunity. My wife, too, has a habit of sneaking up whenever I browse the net. But nowadays, bless her soul, she hardly finds the time to sneak up on me. She is too busy with her laptop, undertaking the same work at home tasks that I do.
